I am currently working on a custom piece for PepperSprouts It's a custom Home portrait and I told her I would send her progress shots, so I figured I'd post them here as well to explain my process.

Step One: I paint the entire canvas a shade of blue. This will not be the final color of the sky, just a base coat to give it substantial color.
