Well I just finished the book Water for Elephants and it was phenomenal. A very quick read, super engaging, and the imagery and characters were perfect. So at this point I have my eyes open for a subject for my next painting based on this book.
Meaning, I'm now on the look out for something that is indicative of the depression era circus, an old pocket watch, an interesting image of a circus train/railroad car, a top hat, etc. If you happen to see anything on your travels through the internet on ebay, etsy, historic image archives or elsewhere...please let me know.

I LOVED this book. Can't wait to see what you paint! I'll keep my eyes peeled for something from that era.
