friday and finally done

this 5 by 7 painting is finally done. I started it well before we moved with every intention of it being a loose quick painting of my tea mug. Well I didn't get it done in one sitting I had to have my cup of tea sitting there for weeks thinking I would just finish it up. Then we moved. Ah life, it gets in the way sometimes. So I just finished it up with some mental assumptions about what it looked like.

I'm not thrilled with it, since the perspective was off from the beginning. However I am trying to learn the ability to walk away once something is as done as it will ever be withoutstarting from scratch again. For this reason I would like to start a "a painting a day" for 1 year with certain holdays off... so maybe like 360 paintings. Obviously they would have to be small, but it may be worth a try.

I figure if I use the small 3 by 3 canvases and I pre-buy all 365... then it will be $400 just for the canvases. Worth it? Your opinion?
