Completed Painting: Every Destination's Waiting

My uncle and his family has a whole room for these trains which may be the coolest thing ever. These belonged originally to my grandfather. This is the caboose if I'm not mistaken. I love trains and locomotives so I have been wanting to get reference shots of this train set... we used it play with it under the christmas tree when we were kids. My dad brought these for me to photograph last time he came to visit.

The hardest part of this painting was the TRACKS, believe it or not. The tracks alone took at least 3 sessions. The actual train only 2.

Also, sometimes I love how the palette ends up after a session of painting. Here is evidence of the fact that I'm mixing up colors before I start painting, which has helped in productivity. You can tell I was just focusing on the red this session.

You continue to amaze me. And I am not very easily amazable. Looks great Jules!

I love this! I can see why the tracks would be beastly to paint but you really worked it, as usual.
