Painting in Progress: Drunk on the Train to Chicago

Session #3 on this painting. I am pretty solid on the background, which is a good start considering I usually wait until the end to do the background... which is kid of a silly way to work. It's also a very frustrating way to work... since I get all happy with the subject and then there's a boring background to deal with and I have to worry about getting paint on the subject area.

I am my own worst enemy. But then again... aren't we all?
