Portrait class

Tuesday I had my 3rd installment of the portrait class. We're using the same concept as the Bargues in a way... but portraits always seem harder because you try to get a "likeness"of that person.

Steve (one of the students in the school) agreed to model for this and the next class session. This is kind of what he looks like, except his hair is not see-through and I have to move the front of his neck forward a little:

All of my portraits so far come out looking very presidential... or distinguished. Not to say that Steve is not presidential or distinguished but I am not sure if that is a result of the squared off features for now... but we have one more class time to refine. I'm pretty happy with how this is coming along.
