Still no photos

I am thoroughly frustrated with my painting space. I feel like the whole thing is GHETTO to the max. Random piece of furniture (rolling TV cart, Wire shelving, kitchen table chair, a little cupboard thing). UGH. Here is a photo I took a while back...the set up hasnt changed much except its now in a different corner:

Now one of my lighting devices that was clamped to my easel has busted, making photo-taking nearly impossible.

Any suggestions on where to get good lighting? Home depot does not have what I'm looking for. I was at the breaking point and was really close to getting something like this!:

In my dream world there's a light, that has a big adjustable arm and strong clamp at the end to hook onto my easel.

I know people either love or hate Ikea, but if you're near one of them they have some great adjustable work lamps. I have one that has a really heavy weighted base that's impossible to tip over on any angle, and you can get some with clamps too.

I put one of those daylight bulbs in mine so that it's like you're working by natural light, even if it's the middle of the night!

And I understand how you're feeling. I'm sure you work better when you love your space. I hope you can find what you're looking for!!

Julie! Go here!
I have an Ott light and love it. I found mine at Tuesday Morning for cheaper. It's adjustable.
This is the Ottlight clamp-on page...

This cracks me up - Ghetto lighting... hehehe... ghetto music...

Dude, I'm in the middle of moving so right now my studio is spread across two apartments. And even when it is not, everything is "Ghetto covered in silver dust, jump rings, and papers"

You make great art - that's all that matters :P Now you need some ghetto refreshments. Cool-aid anyone?

I seriously paint with the weakest lighting- I don't know how I do it sometime!

You should try one of those Brookstone stores. I'm sure they have some lighting fixtures that would be totally useless for anyone else but perfect for your "studio". Another idea is to buy a snuggie...they come with an attachable light!
