The devil is in the details

Sometimes I want to throw a painting out the window ...and it's usually because of faces. This one is giving me a little bit of a hard time. I have a feeling that because it's my grandmother... that makes it even harder than if it were someone I didn't know. There's just something"not right" about? I don't know...I'll keep on plugging.

I tried focusing on the background and side details first ...supposedly if you leave the thing you like doing most until the end...it makes it easier to finish? I guess this make sense.

Good luck! But I think it looks fabulous so far! I love the blue sky...

you should call it "grandma's pearls" (is that a pearl necklace? if not, grandma's necklace." It's cool because it is your grandma but most people will think it is a young girl who borrowed her grandma's jewelry for an event.
