See! Told ya the next time you'd see this the colors would be different! I have a direction for the colors which I've very happy about. This is the first step towards those colors.
On another note, I started new button paintings. 3 are square and focus on color...2 are 6 by 12 and include needle and thread and are more focused on composition:

I was annoyed by the comment which is why it sticks in my mind. The flip-side is that this comment also makes me more determined to keep painting egg shells :)
oooo i really like the needle and thread and button ones!! so cool! i like the pilot and sky painting too. he has a very solum look on his face. very nice!
