Painting in Progress: Mason Jar

Here is a progress shot of the latest painting that I started today. It's 12 inches by 12 inches...but I am going to still try to keep it on the "looser" side similar to my smaller still life paintings. I bought this mason jar from Midwest Finds on Etsy...LOVE their shop!

But, Julie don't you already have a 30 inch by 30 inch painting of a mason jar that looks almost identical to this started? You know, the one you started before you broke your ankle OVER A YEAR AND A HALF AGO?!?!?

Shut up! Yes I do! Stop making me feel guilty!

12 by 12 is a lot easier to handle (and much less intimidating) to work on in my tiny studio... considering I work on an 11 by 14 palette in a room the size of most people's walk in closets which also includes our desk and a futon. Don't judge me! I will get to that painting some day. And apparently my mother had already called "dibs" on it...

I LOVE IT! You are so talented. And to think you do that in such a tiny space. I'm so impressed. :)

I remember your smaller painting of the mason jar and I loved it. It's looking great in this size already! Oh, and I love your calendar...what a cool idea!
