you should make a book!

Have you heard of Blurb.com? I use it to make photos books. I know there are other places you can do that like SmugMug, or Snapfish, or even right through iPhoto. But I really like the Booksmart software you download and use on your computer.

As an artist I think it's important to have a record of all your work. And while most of us have all the files on our computers... what happens when you get a new computer, or this one dies. Or whatever! I worry about 20 years down the road when we want to say to our kids "here look at this awesome stuff we did before flying cars." and then be like "oh wait my hard drive died so I have no photos."

I made a portfolio book about a year a half ago and its really neat to look at that book and now look at the one I'm making now to see how I've grown artistically. It's like having a photo album without having to get those giant photo albums that end up turning yellow anyways!

It's easy and simple so I suggest you do it... even if you're not an artist. Take those hundred of digital photos and make a nice neat little book of it!

Also there are usually a ton of coupon codes for free shipping or half off your first book or whatever.

Wow, I never knew there were websites that you could go to to make a book of your own images! How interesting, thanks for sharing the info :)
