Painting in Progress: Lionel Train

Last night I started 2 paintings, which is totally awesome because I need to get so many more paintings done!! This little guy is a Lionel train set that used to be my grandfather's but now my uncle and cousin have the set at their house. My dad brought it down for me to photograph when he came to visit, and I had a couple nice shots.

This painting, surprisingly, have been smooth sailing... which is the most surprising part of all. We'll see how the details go, but for now... I'm very very happy.

This is the second painting I've done of my grandfather's trains. The first one was a red caboose on regular canvas. This new one is done on wood... should be interesting to see the difference.
