Completed Painting: Four

So my mother turns 50 today (happy birthday mom!!!... even though you still haven't really caught on to the concept of my blog). She is a wonderful human being who is always thinking of others, more fun than you can imagine and is always the life of the party. For the longest time, she's been asking me for a painting. So for the big 5-0, I decided to do a 12 by 12 painting of something she loves... which are cherry tomatoes... and she needed something with a pop of color for her new lake house which is decorated in a lot of neutrals.

I mailed it off to her and then we Skyped when she opened it... which was priceless. This is the final product which took about a total of 30-40 hours, which she loves.... and is now asking for another one (that matches it) so she can hang 2 together. It never ends...

I'm sure it looks wonderful in her home. Bright and cheery colors and great composition. Who wouldn't want another to go with it?

Ha! First of all, gorgeous painting, so real I could almost touch those tomatoes! Second of all, my mom still hasn't quite got the idea of my blog either, and she's got more paintings than any other collector out there! Gotta love moms, right?!

Julie, I think there is a sizable market for paintings like this one. You might consider something similar to this at 24" square. Just a thought.
